Rover Flow: Tranmere and Braintree to get cash boost from televised FA Cup first round tie

BRAINTREE Town and Tranmere will each collect a live broadcast fee of £63,800 when their FA Cup first round tie at Cressing Road is shown live by ITV1 next Sunday, November 4 (kick-off 12.30pm).

The winners will collect £18,000 in FA Cup prize money for progressing to the second round.

Tranmere matches broadcast live on TV are like buses – you don’t see one for ages and then two arrive in quick succession.

Less than a fortnight after the Braintree game, Sky will be televising Tranmere’s League One encounter with MK Dons on Friday, November 16, live from Prenton Park.

Kick-off is 7.45pm.
