TRANMERE ROVERS must travel to League Two Chesterfield if they are to overcome their recent League Cup jinx.
Rovers have not reached the third round of the newly named Capital One Cup since 2004.
But the finalists in 2000 were handed a tricky first round trip to Chesterfield – relegated from League One last season – in yesterday’s draw.
Ties will be played week commencing August 13, however, if mutually agreed, the League will consider requests to play on Saturday 11 or Sunday August 12.
