AARON Cresswell put the icing on the cake of a successful first season with Ipswich Town by winning the supporters’ club player of the year award.
Liverpool-born left-back Cresswell, 22, who left Rovers to join the Tractor Boys last summer, said the award “meant a lot.”
Cresswell has made 46 appearances for Ipswich this season, establishing himself as a regular in Paul Jewell’s Championship side.
He learned his trade in Tranmere’s youth set-up, playing 80 first team games before moving to Suffolk.
