RONNIE MOORE has been confirmed as the new Tranmere Rovers boss - and signed a new one year contract today.
Moore re-joined Rovers in early March, guiding Rovers to a six game unbeaten run and six wins in his first ten games in charge.
His record as Manager in March saw him nominated for the npower League 1 Manager of the Month award and he has helped the Club climb away from the division’s relegation zone and into mid-table.
Moore’s first spell as Tranmere Manger was from 2006-2009 with the Club finishing in the top half of the division each season and within two minutes of a Play Off place in 2008-09.
Chairman, Peter Johnson said: "I’m delighted Ronnie will be staying as our Manager.
“He has done a wonderful job in securing the Club’s League 1 status for next season and has led us to one of the best records in the division over the last couple of months.
“I’m sure he will help the Club progress further in 2012-13.
“He has a great rapport with our fans and I’d like to thank them for their fantastic support since his return.”
Ronnie added: “When I came back to Tranmere in March I said then that I wanted to get the Club to the 50 point mark before I discussed a contract.
“I’m delighted we have been able to do it with a few games to spare and even more delighted to have signed my contract. Now I want us to finish the season on a high and get as many points as possible in our final three matches.
“Everybody knows how big a part Tranmere Rovers has been in my life as a player, coach, Caretaker Manager, Assistant Manager and Manager and I’m looking forward to the next 12 months.
“I want Tranmere to be a top half team next season and I’ll be looking to improve the squad over the summer. A big part of that comes down to how big our budget is and that comes down to season ticket sales, so the more supporters we can get buying season tickets the better it should be for everyone.”
