BOSS Ronnie Moore continues to look for front players in the loan market in spite of many rebuffs and won’t give up on his attempts to persuade his son, Ian Thomas-Moore, to come out of retirement and play for Rovers in the final weeks of the season.
Thomas-Moore, 35, who has not played since the end of last season, has so far declined his father’s invitations to embark on an intensive training course at Prenton Park.
“I know he can do it but I think he is a little bit nervous he will let himself down,” Moore said.
“It’s a shot in the dark but it would be fantastic to have Ian for last month of the season, even if he was only on the bench.
“I would know I had someone on the bench with a little bit of experience.”
He added: “If he comes back and does 10 days training and does not fancy it, then at least he will have a go. But to go back to selling cars when he should still be playing would be a waste.”
