Tranmere have named January 27 as St Yates’ Day
TRANMERE fans have been celebrating the 10th anniversary this week of a victory reckoned by many to be the most satisfying result in the club’s FA Cup history.
Some supporters have gone so far as to dob January 27 St Yates’ Day, in honour of defender Steve Yates, who plundered two headed goals in Rovers' 3-0 success against Everton at Goodison Park in 2001.
Yeats himself, now 40, was last heard of working in the Cyprus property market.
