TRANMERE began the online eBay auction this week of the special Poppy Appeal shirts worn by the team in the 4-2 win over MK Dons at Prenton Park last Saturday.
The shirts, with a poppy printed on the chest to commemorate Remembrance Sunday, honour those who gave their lives in conflicts past and present. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Tranmere chief executive Mick Horton said: “Our players were proud to wear the shirts. We had a lot of interest in them as they are one-off items and will make fantastic Christmas presents.”
A bid deadline of Monday, November 8 has been set for the shirts worn by Dale Jennings, Liam Darville, Zoumana Bakayogo and Ryan Fraughan. A deadline of Tuesday, November 9 applies for the shirts worn by Ian Thomas-Moore, Dale Jennings, Jermaine Grandison and Marlon Broomes, Wednesday, November 10 for the shirts worn by Enoch Showumni, Max Power, John Welsh and Tim Cathalina and Thursday, November 11 for the shirts worn by Ian Goodison, Sam Morrow, Lucas Akins and Joss Labadie.
