TRANMERE have opened the voting for the player of the season awards 2009/10.
Ian Goodison, a perennial favourite, looks sure to be in the running for the major award thanks to a typically commanding run of performances under manager Les Parry over the last five months.
Goalkeeper Luke Daniels should have some support. There were times during the early months of the campaign when the goalkeeper, on a season long loan from West Bromwich Albion, was picking up man of the match award nominations every week.
Skipper Ian Thomas-Moore, leading the goalscoring charts with 12 strikes, should also be in contention. Thomas-Moore moved past the 100 league goals mark with a couple of penalty conversions against Norwich City on Good Friday.
Expect to see Ash Taylor and Terry Gornell in the running for the young player of the season award. Taylor has made a positive impression at centre back and midfield in his first season as a professional. Meanwhile, Gornell is showing he is learning fast in the striker's role.
Fans can cast their votes by filling in a form at the club shop or by e-mail to playeroftheseason@ tranmererovers.co.uk
Tickets for the awards dinner at Prenton Park on Monday, April 26 are still available from the club shop at £30. The price includes a three course meal.
