Parry says he is finding enough encouragement to persevere with the gamble of throwing Tranmere’s battle for survival onto a more positive footing.
He broke the habit of almost four months in the manager’s job by deploying an attacking 4-4-2 formation for the visit to promotion challengers Charlton Athletic last weekend.
The long-serving physio was delighted with the 1-1 draw Rovers took away from The Valley and reckons the result was worth more than the point that eased them closer to the exit door from the the League One relegation zone.
Parry said: “The lads were a little bit disappointed immediately after the game because they felt they had enough chances to win it.
“Once they realised what a good achievement a draw was, there was a lot of bounce and banter in the bus on the way home.”
