STEVE JENNINGS began pre-season training with Scottish Premier League club Motherwell this week after making the move from Tranmere.
Motherwell manager Jim Gannon said: “Stevie’s done well at Tranmere – both he and his club had an excellent season last year and that obviously brought him to our attention.
“As soon as I saw his name on the available list I was right in there as there were a few big clubs in England sniffing about so I am delighted to have him.
“He’s a wholehearted player; a good athlete who is strong in the tackle.”
Oxford United of the Blue Square Premier League are putting former Tranmere centre-back Luke Waterfall through a week’s trial.
Waterfall was released by Rovers in May after spending one season at Prenton Park, where he made one appearance. He was previously with Barnsley.
