DANNY COYNE insists his award for being the top goalkeeper in League One this season should rightfully be shared among all of his Tranmere team mates.
The Wales international won the Puma Golden Gloves award for the division after keeping 20 clean sheets for Rovers – a total matched by only one other ‘keeper in the Football League's 72 clubs.
Coyne insisted: “It was definitely an award for the whole team. The players in front of me defended really well this season, from the back four to the midfield and the strikers. Full credit to the team for keeping that many clean sheets.
“For much of this season the lads in front of me did an excellent job in restricting the opportunities for the opposition to score.”
Tranmere fans won't be able to buy a season ticket for the 2009/10 campaign at the special rate of £125 this summer.
Rovers set a target of 7,000 season ticket applications by May 25 to trigger the bargain offer. They failed to reach the mark but chief executive Mick Horton said the club are encouraged by the level of season ticket sales so far.
