TRANMERE ROVERS’ impassioned support in the final-game showdown at Scunthorpe last weekend left a lasting impression on manager Ronnie Moore and his family, who were also at the game.
More than 1,600 fans packed into one end of Glanford Park and out-shouted the home supporters through most of the afternoon.
Moore said: "The supporters we took to Scunthorpe were unbelievable.
“The noise they made from start to finish was tremendous, even after Scunthorpe scored.
“I felt gutted for them at the end. I knew how they felt.
“My two young lads were in the crowd as well.
“They were bitterly upset about the result."
