TWO goals from Josh Macauley earned Tranmere’s Under 19s a Puma Youth Alliance point from a 2-2 draw at Macclesfield.
The striker’s double took his goals tally for the season to 15.
“Josh is working hard and earning his goals, “ said coach Shaun Garnett. “He is showing signs of developing his game.”
Rovers were twice behind in a game played at Macclesfield’s Moss Rose Ground.
Macauley latched onto a through pass from Dave Wilson to fire home Tranmere’s first equaliser from the edge of the box.
The striker levelled the scores for a second time with an accurate finish into the bottom corner following a diagonal run across the penalty area.
Garnett added: “It was a good experience for the boys to play on a first team ground. They adapted well against a team that like to play a more direct style of football.
