Wilson’s chance

LOAN signing Mark Wilson is lined up to make his Tranmere debut in the League One encounter with Yeovil at Huish Park this afternoon.

The 29-year-old midfielder was recruited from Doncaster as the Rovers squad was hit by suspensions and a flu-type outbreak this week.

Manager Ronnie Moore will be without right-back Ryan Shotton and midfielders Antony Kay and Steve Jennings, who are serving bans.

The manager is all but resigned to losing centre-back Ian Goodison, who may not return from World Cup qualifying duty on schedule because his Jamaican girlfriend is due to give birth to their child.

A further four players are doubtful starters after being hit by flu symptoms: centre-back Ben Chorley and midfielders Gareth Edds, Ian Moore and Ed Sonko.
