“Hit and run” cyclist leaves six-year-old girl with broken leg
“All I could see was Liberty underneath the bike and this guy picking himself up. There was blood coming from pretty much every part of her body and I could see her leg was at a strange angle.
“A nurse from Arrowe Park was parked near us and she ran over to help. We looked up and the guy was pedalling away.”
Mr Dempsey said the cyclist was riding on the pavement and not in a designated cycle lane.
A police spokesman said: “We are trying to piece together what happened and would like the cyclist or any witnesses to come forward.”
