Wirral show to have sports demonstrations

The Wirral Show, now in its 33rd year, is one of the UK’s biggest free-to-enter attractions. It takes place at New Brighton on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday July 11-12.

Melinda said: “Our sporting challenge is open, on both days of the show, to anyone who is fit enough to take part.

“We expect a particularly big response from schools and youth organisations. Anyone under 18 must have a permission form signed by a parent or carer.”

Sample consent forms are being sent to all Wirral schools. Forms may be downloaded from the Wirral Show website www.wirralshow.com. They are also available from the Sports Forum office at The Caretaker’s House, Grange Road West Sports Centre, Birkenhead.

Michael Emberton, chairman of the Wirral Show, said: “This is an exciting new feature of the show and we believe it will have huge appeal especially to young people.”
