A WIRRAL solicitor struck off for improper behaviour admitted all the charges brought against him at a tribunal.
Alan Tickell ,of Rex Taylor and Meadows, in West Kirby, Wirral, was struck off on November 19 after he was prosecuted at a solicitors disciplinary tribunal and ordered to pay £20,000 costs.
His firm has now closed and Crangle Edwards, based in Cheadle, are handling the closure.
The 13 charges on which Mr Tickell, of Meols, was convicted include:
Raising invoices in respect of costs and transferred money from clients’ accounts to the office account when there was no reason to do so;
Withdrawing funds from a general client account when funds withdrawn exceeded amounts held on behalf of client;
Failing to disburse residues of wills for a significant number of years;
Retaining client money when there was no reason to retain.
The solicitors disciplinary tribunal is set to publish the full judgement after the Christmas holiday.
Crangle Edwards said they have not received complaints from any of Mr Tickell’s clients and are not aware of any clients facing a financial shortfall.
