SEE Brent Geese, Purple Sandpipers, divers and grebes close up at Wirral's Coastal Calendar Hilbre Island Winter Specials.
The islands are part of the Dee estuary, a major wildlife area and is one of the most important estuaries in Britain and amongst the most important in Europe for its populations of waders and wildfowl.
The session runs from January 25 from 8.30am-4pm. It’s a chance to stay over during the high tide on the Hilbre Islands Local Nature Reserve with Matt Thomas, Coastal Ranger, and spot some rare wildlife.
It’s been organised as part of Wirral’s Year of Coast and Countryside.
The day-long session is free but booking is essential. (Maximum number 30). Book your place by calling the rangers on 0151 648 4371 or emailing wirralcountrypark@wirral.gov.uk. Sorry, no dogs.
