Jug and Bottle grill restaurant in Heswall is back open for business
THE Jug and Bottle’s new Grill Restaurant in Heswall is now ready for diners to enjoy an exquisite bite to eat after being closed for eight months.
Fine steaks, fish and poultry - all locally sourced - are available at the Grill Restaurant from 5-10pm Tuesday to Saturday and if you order before 6.45pm, you get 20pc off your meal.
To accompany the delicious, freshly cooked dishes, a great selection of fine wines from around the world is available.
You can also treat yourself and the family to a two course meal for £12.95 every Sunday from noon-5pm.
The new restaurant, hotel and popular public bar, situated at the top of Mount Avenue, Heswall, enjoys views across Liverpool’s distinctive skyline and over the Dee Estuary to the hills of North Wales.
Steve Doughty, of Greasby, became the new manager of the Jug and Bottle three months ago after being a partner in Owens restaurant, Childwall, for 10 years.
He said: “Running this place all came from nothing.
“I am really enjoying the new role and so far everything is going well.
“The restaurant has just been refurbished and has only been open for about six weeks so people should come and take a look at it.”
Every Monday night Steve runs a quiz in the pub and every Wednesday he makes sure there is live music.
He said: “This Wednesday we have Gary and Brian Murphy.”
As well as this, The Jug, as it is known best by locals, has all the sports channels, a doubles bar and bar food, served in the pub from noon-2.30pm and 5-9.30pm Tuesday to Sunday.
