The Charlatans bassist Martin Blunt to DJ at Birkenhead’s Jam Bar as Cooking Soup’s Oh! Vanity night comes to Wirral

THE Charlatans bassist Martin Blunt will be a special guest DJ at Birkenhead’s Jam Bar next month.

Martin will be on the decks at the cafe bar and life music venue on Saturday, February 2, when Cooking Soup will bring their London Oh! Vanity night to Jam.

Martin will be joined by some of Wirral’s best up and coming bands, including headliners Mercury 13.

The band have just completed a national tour in support of their debut single and the gig will be their first of 2013.

Jam owner Geniene Reese said: “We are excited to have the opportunity to showcase some of Wirrals best new talent right here at Jam.”

Also on the bill are Wilson Minds, whose new EP features Damon Minchella of Ocean Colour Scene.

Clever Little Tramps complete the line-up.
