WIRRAL performers are playing at a chilled acoustic music night tonight (Wednesday) in aid of Hoylake Cottage.
Steven McGunity, Harriet Marsland, Alexis Billington and AKA will all be appearing at The Coda Maine in Hoylake.
The night has been organied by Hoylake Cottage supporter Becky Lamb, 19, who made use of her contacts with local musicians to raise money for the Birkenhead Road nursing centre for older people.
Becky said she was determined to help Hoylake Cottage as a thank-you for the care her late grandfather received there.
She said: “My granddad used to be a resident at Hoylake Cottage and the whole family really appreciate how he was cared for.
“I used to go along and sing for all the residents at Christmas and now he is no longer with us, I am able to organise these nights to help the older people that Hoylake Cottage is now caring for.”
There will be a raffle with a signed poster of Wirral-born James Bond actor Daniel Craig among the prizes.
Tickets are £3 on the door and the event starts at 7pm.
Hoylake Cottage’s Sarah Green said: “We are incredibly grateful to Becky for organising this music evening for the charity.
“She has been a great supporter over many years and I hope this will be just as successful as her previous events.
“This is a great chance to support some emerging local talent and a local charity at the same time.”
