WIRRAL rockers The Clan are bringing out a Christmas single.
The band, who formed in 2010, are releasing It’s Christmas (Let’s have a good time) on November 10.
Frontman Craig McDonald, from Saughall Massie, said their aim was to write a pop rock song “that puts the fun back into the genre”.
He said: “T.Rex, Slade, The Sweet – these were the bands that The Clan grew up with and their influence has never waned.
“That was an era when music was produced with catchy hook lines, sing along choruses and most importantly delivered with a sense of fun and humour.
“By way of a tribute The Clan decided to try and close the gap that has existed since these bands disappeared from public view by writing a modern pop rock song that puts the fun back into the genre and will hopefully become a classic in its own right.”
The band originally formed to play songs from Craig’s solo album Pies, Pasties and Rock ‘n’ Roll.
They have now played more than 250 gigs at venues across the country.
