TEXAS-BASED JAZZ/SWING

trio Club Of Cow Town will open the 24th International Guitar Festival of Great Britain at the Floral Pavilion Theatre’s Blue Lounge on Friday (November 2) at 8pm. Tickets are £16.

KGB GUITARS WILL

present an acoustic guitar workshop as part of the guitar festival on Saturday, November 3 at 10am. The practical, introductory course will cover performing a basic set-up and guitar customisation. Everyone who takes part should bring their guitar. A new set of strings will be required, which can be purchased on the day. The cost of the workshop, which takes place at the KGB Workshop at Pacific Road Arts Centre, Birkenhead is £22.50.

THE EASY STAR

All-Stars – the musical collective behind Dub Side of the Moon – are playing at the Floral Pavilion Blue Lounge on Sunday, November 4 at 8pm. The band has built a fan base bringing together lovers of reggae, classic rock, dub and indie rock. Tickets are £17.50.

FORMER MIKE & THE

Mechanics, Ace and Squeeze frontman Paul Carrack is in concert at the Floral Pavilion Theatre on Thursday, November 8. This show was sold out as the News went to press.

JAZZ TRIO JOHN

Etheridge, Arild Andersen and John Marshall Trio are playing the Floral Pavilion Blue Lounge on Thursday, November 8 at 8pm. Standard adult tickets are £18.

GARY MURPHY IS

bringing his Guitar Legends show to the Floral Pavilion Theatre, New Brighton on Friday, November 9 at 7.30pm. The show, narrated by radio presenter Billy Butler, will take audiences on the journey of the guitar through popular music. Tickets are £16.

ANDY FAIRWEATHER

Low & The Low Riders are playing at the Floral Pavilion Theatre on Saturday, November 10 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £20.

THE ESMOND SELWYN

Band will be joined by ex-Art Blakey’s Jazz Messenger saxophonist Jean Toussaint at the Floral Pavilion Blue Lounge on Saturday, November 10 at 8pm. Standard adult tickets are £18.

“ONE MAN ACID JAZZ

band” John Goldie will perform at Williamson Art Gallery, Slatey Road, Birkenhead on Saturday, November 10 at 7.30pm. Standard tickets are £12.
