Birkenhead Choral Society to open new season with concert featuring Royal Northern College of Music soloists

SOLOISTS from the Royal Northern College of Music will join Birkenhead Choral Society for its first concert of a new season on Saturday, November 10.

The programme will include items requested by audiences, including Vivaldi’s Gloria and Fauré’s ever popular Requiem.

The choir, conducted by David Holroyd, will sing Cantique de Jean Racine, also by Fauré.

Soloists for the event are Fiona Hymns (soprano), Alexandria Wynn (Mezzo) and Jonathan Alley (Baritone).

The concert starts at 7.30pm at St Saviour’s Church in Oxton.

Tickets are £10, £8 concessions and there is free entry for anyone aged under 19.

Birkenhead Choral Society’s last concert was a sell-out and early booking is advised.
