FUNNYMAN Jimmy Cricket is bringing his Laughter Show to Wirral next month.
Panto favourite Jimmy will be at the Gladstone Theatre, Port Sunlight on Saturday, May 12.
Born James Mulgrew in Cookstown, Northern Ireland, he worked in a betting shop for two years after leaving school before setting his sights on showbiz after a summer season as a Butlin’s Redcoat.
He won the LWT talent contest Search for a Star and later had his own series on Central Television, And There’s More.
The dad-of-four’s first musical, Let’s hear it for the Wee Man, premiered at the Thwaites Empire Theatre in Blackburn last year.
Jimmy – known for catchphrases “Come closer” and “And there’s more” said: “I wear a funny hat, have my wellies on the wrong feet and regularly get a letter from Mammy.”
