Award-winning Flint Male Voice Choir to make triumphant return to Port Sunlight’s Gladstone Theatre

FLINT Male Voice Choir will make a triumphant return to the Gladstone Theatre on Saturday (April 14).

The choir, founded in 1975, is coming to Port Sunlight fresh from winning a Choral Festival in Brittany last month.

Appearing with the choir is international soprano Angela Rowley.

Its repertoire encompasses music stretching from the 16th century to today, including traditional Welsh hymns and folk songs to modern pop and contemporary compositions in many languages.

Members have travelled the world to perform by invitation, winning the National Eisteddfod of Wales in 1990 and 1991 and the Male Voice Choir section of S4C’s biennial Cor Cymru competition in 2007.

Tickets for the Gladstone Theatre show are £8 from 643 8757, www.gladstonetheatre.org.uk, Linghams in Heswall or Port Sunlight Village Museum shop.
