THE Neston Players are hoping Prescription for Murder will turn out to be a prescription for awards glory.
The theatre company’s production of the gripping crime thriller has earned two of its actors nominations in the amateur theatre world’s prestigious regional awards.
The Players have been shortlisted for best actress in a drama for Michael Kennedy (who played Richard) and best supporting actress Caroline Davies (Mary) in this year’s NODA North West Amateur Theatre Awards.
Last year the Players picked up five nominations and Gordon Wallis won the best supporting actor award for his role as Warnie in Shadowlands.
Chairman, Paul Kirkbright said: “We are delighted to be nominated once again for these prestigious regional awards.
“With exciting productions planned for the forthcoming year as part of our diamond anniversary season, we are looking forward to building on these achievements.”
l The Players’ next production will be the comedy Cheshire Cats at Neston Civic Hall from May 23 to 26. Call 0800 4118881 or buy online at www.brownpapertickets.com
