Former Brookside actor Vince Earl and his All Star Merseybeat band set for Fort Perch Rock show

FORMER soap star Vince Earl is bringing his All-Star Merseybeat Band to the Merseybeat Story at Fort Perch Rock in New Brighton on Sunday (March 18).

The actor and his band will perform and answer questions during an event to mark their induction into the Merseybeat Hall of Fame.

The event, from 1pm to 4.30pm, will also introduce local singer/songwriter Geoff Owen.

The day’s special charity will be Vince Earl Kidney First.

The popular performer, who played Ron Dixon in Brookside, spent a month in intensive care in September 2010 after being struck by the rare auto-immune disorder Goodpasture’s syndrome.

Tickets for the event are £6 on the door.
