PANTO season continues this week with the arrival of Aladdin at Neston Civic Hall.
Make Believe Entertainment is bringing the production to Wirral after a successful pre-Christmas run at Winsford Lifestyle Centre in December.
And producers say tickets are flying out of the box office as fast as Aladdin’s magic carpet!
The show is written and directed by Jonathan Blazer, an experienced writer and director who has staged six professional pantomimes.
He was also the writer and director of The Sooty Show, which recently visited the Floral Pavilion Theatre in New Brighton.
He said: “Audiences can expect to be delighted and dazzled with a wide selection of musical numbers plus lots of fun for all the family.
“Aladdin and his friends will delight audiences of all ages with their marvellous mixture of mayhem, thrills and spills.”
The cast of professional performers includes Lizzie Frances as the hero Aladdin, Jack Lovegrove as Wishee Washee, Michael Heywood as the flirty Widow Twankee, Mark Shaer as the evil Abanazar, Ingrid ourse as Slave Of The Ring and Kelly Wines as beautiful Princess Jasmine.
Wirral Theatre School is providing the show with a chorus of dancers who have been busy rehearsing pantomime routines since the summer.
Principal Denise Skinner said: “We are delighted to be performing in Aladdin.
“Our dancers are currently rehearsing really hard and the excitement is building each day.
“We are all looking forward to being part of this wonderful event in Neston and recommend people not to miss this wonderful production.”
Evening performances of Aladdin are at Neston Civic Hall from Friday, January 6 to Sunday, January 8, with 7pm evening shows on Friday and Saturday.
An extra matinee performance has been added at 2pm on Sunday but limited tickets are available and advance booking is recommended.
Adult tickets are £8 for all seats or £7.50 concessions. A family ticket (four people) is £30.
Tickets can be booked by calling 336 1077 or 07530 217760.
They can also be ordered online at www.makebelieve-entertainment.co.uk or in person at Neston Civic Hall before each performance.
