CAN you help Cinderella go to the ball?
Sixth formers at Neston High School are hoping a local business will step forward to play Fairy Godmother for their forthcoming performing arts exam.
The students are producing the pantomime Cinderella and as well as performing all the roles they are exploring arts production issues such as securing sponsorship.
They are hoping that a business will be able to offer sponsorship in kind and donate a dress for Cinderella to go to the ball. ‘
“Ideally we would like a colourful ballgown,” explained Laura MacNamee who is playing Cinderella. “In return the business will be featured in our programme and in school newsletters and publicity which will reach over 2000 people.”
The pantomime will be performed at the school on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10.
Key Stage 5 performing arts co-ordinator Kirstie Higgins said: “It offers the students not only amazing performing opportunities but also experience of the realities of producing theatre.
“They are working really hard. We have all been in over half term rehearsing and it would be great if a local business could help out with this essential costume.”
