Vintage buses, classic cars and tram rides at this Sunday’s fourteenth annual Wirral Bus and Tram Show

VINTAGE buses will be among the star attractions at this year’s Wirral Bus and Tram Show.

The 14th annual show takes place on Sunday at Wirral Transport Museum, Birkenhead and Pacific Road Arts Centre.

There will be stalls at Pacific Road selling a range of transport memorabilia, bus rides and classic cars and other heritage vehicles on display.

Visitors can enjoy tram rides from the museum to Pacific Road to a £1 flat fare.

The star attractions this year include an AEC Regent III bus from Lisbon, Portugal and a rare Foden double decker bus, one of only seven made by the company.

This year’s show will also celebrate the centenary of Crosville Motor Services on Merseyside.

Lead organiser John Nolan, a former bus driver, said: “One of the more unusual exhibits is the ex-Lisbon double decker, which is like a mirror image – the configuration is the other way round compared to ones in this country.

“This is a great day out for all the family.”

Admission is free and the show is open from 10am to 4pm.
