Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings performing in New Brighton in November

ROCK ‘N’ Roll icon Bill Wyman is bringing his Rhythm Kings to New Brighton later this year.

The guitarist, author, restaurateur and former Rolling Stones bassist brought together the group of experienced musicians in a return to the rhythm and blues which first inspired him to pick up the guitar.

Joining him in the band are guitarists Albert Lee and Terry Taylor, jazz singer and keyboard player Georgie Fame, saxophonists Frank Mead and Nick Payn, pianist Geraint Watkins and drummer Graham Broad.

He said: “The whole idea behind the band was to play music that we love. Playing live, doing gigs, means every- body in the band does it for the same reasons I do it to have a good time and send the crowd home with smiles on their faces.”

The 36-date tour arrives at the Floral Pavilion Theatre in New Brighton on Saturday, November 26. Tickets are £28.50 from 666 0000 or www.floralpavilion.com Š
