Comedian Tom O’Connor returning to the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight for two shows next month

PORT Sunlight’s Gladstone Theatre is welcoming back comic Tom O’Connor.

Tom, who last appeared at the theatre in 2009, will perform An Audience with Tom O’Connor on Friday, September 16, and Saturday, September 17.

A former maths and music teacher in Liverpool, Tom started his comedy career in working men’s clubs.

His big break came in The Comedians and he went on to host a string of TV quiz shows in the 1970s and ‘80s.

In 2010 he won Celebrity Come Dine With Me, scoring a record-breaking 29 points out of 30.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to returning to the Gladstone, one of my favourite theatres throughout the UK. “It’s always guaranteed to be a great night. It will be nice to see old friends and make some new ones.”
