MUSICAL tributes to John Denver and the Bee Gees and the very best in local amateur dramatics will feature in the new season at Port Sunlight’s Gladstone Theatre.
The line-up for the coming months includes musicals, variety, a pantomime, plays – and a show celebrating 50 years of the Merseyside folk scene.
A season at the Gladstone Theatre wouldn’t be complete without audience favourites Billy and Wally, who are back on Sunday, October 23, with their Big Bumper Variety Show.
The dynamic duo will be joined by Bobby Kaye, Crissy Rock, and soundalikes of The Carpenters, Frank Sinatra, The Everly Brothers, Nat King Cole and Connie Francis.
Comedian Stan Boardman will open the new season on Saturday, August 27, followed in September by An Audience with Tom O’Connor.
Bebington Dramatic Society has two plays in the new season – psychological thriller Dangerous Obsession from September 7 to 10 and The 39 Steps from November 16 to 19.
The Port Sunlight Players will perform crime thriller Night Must Fall in October before panto season begins in December.
This year their Christmas production will be Sleeping Beauty on selected dates from December 9 to 17.
