Hippys On The Hill and We Were Beautiful announced as headline acts for Wirral’s first teenagers only music festival

HIPPYS On The Hill and We Were Beautiful will headline Wirral’s first teenagers only music festival.

Youthfest, which will feature the best young guitar bands in Wirral, takes place on Saturday, August 20 in Vale Park, New Brighton.

Auditions for the rest of the line-up will be held this Sunday, judged by Wirral News reporter Lorna Hughes and representatives of Wirral Youth Service and Wirral Youth Theatre.

Pauline Murphy of event supporter 7Waves Community Radio, who will also be on the panel, said: “We are grateful to the two headline bands for supporting the event, and are looking forward to the auditions.

“We know there are a lot of talented young people out there.”

The festival is being organised by Wirral Youth Service to publicise the positive achievements of Wirral’s young people.
