GET ready for the launch of the QEII in Wirral!
The leading Queen tribute band are playing their first-ever set on the borough at Revolver in Birkenhead next month.
The special event is a week on Sunday (July 3).
The band have been touring for ten years and aim to accurately recreate the style and excitement of a live Queen concert – from stage costumes to lights and audio settings.
Keith Thompson, spokesman for Revolver, said: “Queen’s music transcends genre boundaries and everyone is welcome to enjoy what will be an excellent night out.
“We also have Sex Pistols Experience on Friday, July 1, Journey 2 Toto on the Saturday and the arrival of QEII on Sunday.
“We believe there’s something for all tastes once you add the rock DJs into the equation.”
If next weekend is too long to wait for your rock fix, this Friday is Revolver’s Rock Show night.
Saturday will see a return to the festival atmosphere of the 1960s and 70s with a special three band line-up in Midsomer Mantra.
The Revellers will play the music of pioneers like The Doors, The Beatles, Jim Hendrix and Led Zeppelin and Sly Stone while outside under the marquee, Dials (Pink Floyd, Hawkwind) and The Crucified Twins will perform to the ZenJen psychedelic lightshow from sunset.
