What do you think about Cheryl Cole being booted off the X-Factor USA?
It’s probably a good thing for her, she wants to come back here anyway. There was a bit on the news about her maybe getting back with Ashley Cole, but that’s not a good move for her – although it’s probably a good move for him.
Labour has retaken control of Wirral council, are you glad to see the party back?
The Conservatives didn’t do what they said they were going to do which I think is probably why they ended up losing this year. I think it’s good going back to Labour, I’m happy to see them back.
How let down do you feel about Burton’s decision to stop making biscuits in Moreton, at a loss of 219 jobs?
I’ve got a mate who worked there and he said he was taking a pay cut to keep his job. He said they were doing major hours for less money but he said he was doing it because if he quits and goes somewhere else then lots of others would lose their jobs. They were just trying to keep it open. I’m a bit gutted for him now that he’s going to lose his job.
What do you think Barack Obama thought about his trip to the UK?
I reckon he probably loved it! I saw in the news that they were doing a minute’s silence and then he spoke up and said: “Here’s to the Queen!” and no-one said anything and the Queen just looked at him. I think the Royal Family have taken a real liking to him though.
And finally, what’s been the big topic in your bar this week?
It’s always got to be the football, especially with the Champions League final. We get a lot of Reds in here!
