It’s a family affair for cast members in West Kirby Light Opera Society’s production of Once Upon A Time at the Adelphi

WEST Kirby Light Opera Society’s next production will be a family affair for two cast members.

Mother and daughter Nicky Fallon and Kate Mellors have been cast in key roles in Once Upon A Time at the Adelphi, which will be performed at the Floral Pavilion Theatre in May.

The centrepiece of the society’s diamond jubilee year, Phil Wilmott’s feel-good family musical is an epic love story spanning 70 years.

No-nonsense Alice has fallen for dashing Thompson amidst the glitz and glamour of the Adelphi Hotel in 1930s Liverpool – but fate, Hollywood, World War Two and an array of hotel staff and guests intervene.

Expect catchy tunes, big dance numbers – and an appearance from Hollywood cowboy Roy Rogers and his horse Trigger.

The show will mark 19-year-old Kate’s return to the Floral six months after she played Snow White in the theatre’s Christmas panto.

She is in the lead role of Alice, while Nicky will play Thompson’s mother.
