Wirral Youth Theatre premiering musical parodying reality television shows

A NEW musical comedy parodying the saturation of reality shows on today’s television channels will be premiered by Wirral Youth Theatre this month.

The ‘Fame Factor includes the songs, Here We Are Together, You Are The Star, and Give it Up written by members of VOLTAGE, a music project running at the youth theatre.

Head of Wirral Youth Theatre Caron Drucker said: “The show was put together through a series of drama workshops last year when young people explored the themes of self-image and role models in the media and Andy Warhol’s notion of 15 minutes of fame.”

Performances are at Pacific Road Arts Centre on Wednesday February 17 (7pm) and February 18 (2pm and 7pm).
