Jane McDonald marks ten years of stardom with Floral Pavilion Theatre perfromances

JANE McDonald is marking ten years of stardom with two appearances at the Floral Pavilion Theatre this weekend.

The singer rocketed to fame after featuring in reality TV hit The Cruise – and has gone on to fill the London Palladium with her one-woman show, appear in a Royal Variety performance and sell millions of albums.

She admits she hates living out of a suitcase while touring but loves her work.

She said: “I really do like having my home comforts around me and kicking off my shoes to relax in my home surroundings.

“But all I ever seem to do is pack, unpack, and then get in the car to go somewhere.

“I always seem to be either on the motorway, in a hotel room, or in a studio or the theatre – but that means that I’m working and I’m never going to complain about that.

“I’ll be honest. I really don’t want to change anything about my lifestyle. I am – I admit it – married to my work. I am a workaholic.

“So I may not be at home all that often, but when I am, I make it count. And, let’s face it, I’m doing what I love, so how on earth can I complain?”

Her performances on Saturday and Sunday (February 6 and 7) will be two magical evenings of music and laughter featuring her best-loved songs.

The show starts at 7.30pm on both nights. Tickets are £29.50 from the box office on 666 0000 or www.floralpavilion.com
