HIPPYS on the Hill are playing one of their biggest gigs to date this week.
The young band are headlining the O2 Academy in Liverpool on Friday (January 29).
Support bands are The Articles, Escadas, Mannequins and the Pink River Dolphins.
The band are aiming to build on their 2009 success by working on new material and playing bigger venues.
Last year the Hippys – who are Mike Priest (drums), Craig Henderson (rhythm guitar), Brad Done (lead guitar/vocals) and Sean McMinn-Davies (bass) – caught the attention of Classic Rock magazine.
Next weekend they will travel to London to record at Animal Farm studios.
Tickets for the O2 gig are £5 (booking fee applies) from the O2 on 0844 477 2000 or www.hippysonthehilltickets.live.co.uk
