GUITAR legend James Burton will play a one-off show at the Floral Pavilion Theatre, New Brighton on Sunday, November 22 as part of the International Guitar Festival of Great Britain.
Since starting his professional career at the age of just 14, Burton has worked with stars including Ricky Nelson, Johnny Cash and Frank Sinatra and was lead guitarist with Elvis Presley’s TCB band. The 70-year-old’s only European show this year will cover the 55 years of his musical career – and the music of Suzie Q, Ricky Nelson, Roy Orbison, Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, John Denver and Elvis Presley.
Vocals for the evening will be provided by Chris Clayton (Elvis), Don Woods (Ricky Nelson and Roy Orbison) and Susan Hedges (Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris). The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £18/19 from the box office on 666 0000.
