Comedian Joe Pasquale promising “good clean family fun”

FUNNY man Joe Pasquale is returning to Wirral this weekend for the first time in 10 years.

The comedian may have toured the world making people laugh, won I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, performed in five Royal Variety performances and presented TV show The Price Is Right – but he said he can’t wait to set foot on New Brighton soil again.

Joe will collect his magic trick box, the big inflatable versions of himself and some chicken feet, then head to the Floral Pavilion Theatre on Sunday October 11, from 7.30pm as part of his comedy tour.

He said: “The last time I performed at the Floral the audience and I had a right laugh so I’m really looking forward to coming back.

“I’ve heard the theatre has been fully refurbished as well so it will be great to perform on a new stage.

“My show is for everyone aged five to 95 years old – it’s just full of good clean family fun. I do a bit of everything including magic, mind-reading and telling the funniest jokes you’ve ever heard.

“I love doing live work and we’ve never been in more need of a good laugh than now.”

Before Joe started preparing for his new stand-up show he did a bout of boxing in a Costa Rican prison, took to the skies in a Piper Warrior plane and entertained troops in Basra hotspots.

And he says there won’t be a dull moment when he arrives in New Brighton.

The much-loved comedian and presenter said: “I like keeping things exciting.

“If you come to see me I can’t promise a solution to the global meltdown, but I can offer two hours of escapism because my show is going to be more ridiculous than ever.”
