Bill Shankly story returns to the Floral Pavilion

Keith, who wrote the play and was a close friend of Shankly’s, said the interest in the show had been “phenomenal”.

He said: “To sum up Bill Shankly, you can only say that he is the most passionate man about football that I have ever known.

“He was an amazing man and as the years have gone by, his stock as a manager as a person has risen.

“He is probably the most famous managerial personality the game has ever seen, so it is only fitting that we celebrate his life on stage.”

Tickets cost £12 for adults and £10 for concessions.
