BIRKENHEAD’S The Beach is packing them in every Wednesday as the live band nights go from strength to strength.
Tonight sees Vertigo taking to the stage, while one of Wirral’s most popular live performers, Tequila, will be blasting out the tunes on Friday.
And with double your money vouchers on offer each Wednesday, it’s no surprise the dancefloor is jammed and the drinks are flowing from the bar.
Owner Adam Coburn said: “It seems to take off this time of year.
“It’s been going for 12 years now but we do the vouchers where you double your money.
“You pay £5 and get £10 worth of drinks vouchers to be spent at The Beach or the Cool Room.
“As well as a live band upstairs we have a DJ in the Cool Room playing the best of funky house and R&B.
“You can walk between the two clubs, one entrance fee gets you into two places and you can use your vouchers in either.
“It’s packed out every week.”
Indie and rock specialists Tequila are described by Adam as “probably the biggest pulling band in Wirral” and their appearance on Friday will kick off a bumper weekend with DJ Si Jackson taking to the decks and blasting out classic tunes, from Elvis to Eminem and The Kinks to Kings of Leon.
