Bands ready to wow crowds at the Wirral Show

LEMON ECHO will join a series of other bands booked in to entertain the crowds at The Wirral Show this Saturday.

The band of four guys will be performing songs from The Kings of Leon and The White Stripes, plus a few surprises of their own, from 4.30pm in the 7 Waves Radio tent in New Brighton.

The tent which will also host local bands including My Generation Rock, Conkey and One Last Cap, will be located in the first dip on the promenade all weekend.

Performances from the bands will also be aired live through 7 Waves Radio – so if you can’t make the event, tune in to 92.1.

Mike Peek, lead vocalist for Lemon Echo, said: “It is a great time for live music and since we started our band we have hit the ground running with a great sound.

“With a mix of popular songs and old classics we have put together a unique set list.

“We are especially excited about our performance on Saturday and have been putting on extra rehearsals just to make sure we sound amazing.

“We’re expecting it to be packed out around the tent because it will be situated where people enter and leave the event.”

Mike will be joined by band members Dave Heyes on guitar and keyboard, Carl Heyes on bass and Stu Clarke on drums.

Dave and Mike are also the duo Telegraph Road.

Mike added: “We love the acoustic sound of our duo but are rockers at heart, which is why we decided to get the band together.”

As well as all the great bands lined up, there will be a massive sound system to make sure you don’t miss anything and if that isn’t enough there will also be 150 cheerleaders to entertain you.
