THE HILLBARK PLAYERS

are performing Shakespeare’s Macbeth in Royden Park, Frankby, until Saturday (June 27).

The production is open air but all seats are under cover. Performances are at 8pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

BRASSMEN MATT HARDY AND OWEN BRYCE

will play a selection of trumpet solos, dups and works with a piano at the Williamson Art Gallery, Birkenhead on Sunday, June 28.

The concert, part of the Summer Serenade series, starts at 3pm.

Admission is free but donations are requested to cover costs.

THE BARBARA JOHNSTON STAGE SCHOOL

presents That’s Entertainment 2009 at the Floral Pavilion from Thursday (June 25) until Saturday. The lively song and dance show is suitable for all the family. Performances are at 7pm. Tickets are £8 from the box office on 666 0000. Profits will go to Claire House.

CELEBRATE 50 YEARS OF CLIFF RICHARD

at the Gladstone Theatre, Port Sunlight on Saturday, June 27. Jimmy Jemain of Stars In Their Eyes fame will be singing all the hits. The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £13.50 (£12.50 conc) from the box office on 643 8757.

THE ST CECILIA SINGERS

BIRKENHEAD CHORAL SOCIETY

is holding a summer concert, Eminently English at St Hilary’s Church, Claremount Road, Wallasey on Saturday, June 27, starting at 7.30pm.

There will be a variety of English music, with choral works by Parry, Elgar and Wesley, conducted by David Holroyd. Tickets are £10 (conc £8), available from 677 1129.

A JOHN DENVER TRIBUTE NIGHT

and charity concert is taking place at Thingwall Recreation Centre on Saturday, June 27, starting at 7.30pm.

The night will be hosted by Brian Lupton and Jim Gallagher. Tickets are £8 from 653 3794. Proceeds will go to Claire House and the Church Misson Society.
