BEBINGTON KNIGHTS OF ST COLUMBA

are hosting a folk night at St Anne’s Parish Centre, Rock Ferry on Friday, June 19.

Music will be provided by Reckless Elbow. Tickets are £5 from the centre, Tony on 645 9934 or Bernard on 645 7929. Proceeds will go to Wirral Prostate Cancer Support.

THE ST CECILIA SINGERS

will be marking their 40th anniversary with a concert at Parkgate and Neston United Reformed Church, Parkgate Road, on Saturday, June 27.

A JOHN DENVER TRIBUTE NIGHT AND CHARITY CONCERT

is taking place in Thingwall Recreation Centre on Saturday, June 27, starting at 7.30pm. The night will be hosted by Brian Lupton and Jim Gallagher. Tickets are £8 from 653 3794. Proceeds will go to Claire House and the Church Mission Society.

BIRKENHEAD CHORAL SOCIETY

is holding a summer concert, “Eminently English” at St Hilary’s Church, Claremount Road, Wallasey, on Saturday, June 27, starting at 7.30pm.

There will be a variety of English music with choral works by Parry, Elgar and Wesley, conducted by David Holroyd. Tickets are £10 (conc £8), available from 677 1129.

CELLIST ALEX HOLLADAY

will play a selection of classical and 20th century works on Sunday, June 21 at the Williamson Art Gallery, Slatey Road, Birkenhead. The concert, which starts at 3pm, is part of the Summer Serenades series. Admission is free but donations are requested to cover costs.

MUSIC FOR A SUMMER EVENING

will be performed at St Alban’s Parish Centre, Wallasey on Wednesday, June 24, with music from Wallasey Music Centre Chorale and Wirral String Orchestra.

The programme will include light classical popular music and songs from the shows. Tickets are £5 (£3), available on the door or from 638 0882 or 639 9341. Proceeds will go to the Wallasey 2 Lourdes Youth Group.
