Wirral Blues star Z Z Birmingham to play at Fort Perch Rock
THE ENIGMATIC ZZ Birmingham is the special guest of resident duo Blue C at Blues on the Rock on Sunday, May 10.
ZZ is travelling up from the South West for an exclusive date at the blues club at Fort Perch in New Brighton.
ZZ was brought up in Wirral and made his performing debut at the Black Horse Folk Club in West Kirby in the early 1960s.
The guitar and harmonica are this bluesman’s main instruments and expect songs, ballads, harmonica breakdowns, stories and chat.
Blueprint magazine has praised his “engaging stage presence”, which it said “immediately communicates itself to an audience.”
The event takes place from 1 to 4pm. Admission is £4, which includes entry to the Fort’s museum.
