TALENTED Wirral duo Telegraph Road have recorded their first song with record label, Confidential Records and will be performing it in Liscard this week.
The singers recorded the cover version of U2’s Where The Streets Have No Name late last year and it is now available to download from iTunes, Napster, Amazon MP3 and other music download sites.
They will be singing this song with a compilation of their other music from 6pm on February 22, at The Saddle, Liscard.
Telegraph Road band member Mike Peek, of West Kirby, said: “Our version of songs often have a totally different arrangement from the originals, as we tend to only use an acoustic guitar and two vocals.
“People say they like the way our music is put together so it is well worth downloading our track or come to see us performing live next week.”
Mike and his partner Dave Heyes, of Wallasey, have been busy recorded a music video to go with their U2 track which can be seen on YouTube.
Mike added: “We are now trying to get our U2 song played on the local radio stations as well as some of the larger commercial stations.
“We would like to thank everyone for all their help and support - especially Steve Lloyd and the 7 Waves Radio team.”
